ARE YOU FACING A MAJOR LIFE TRANSITION? HAVING DIFFICULTY WITH RELATIONSHIPS?
FEELING DEPRESSED, ANXIOUS, CONFUSED?
STRUGGLING TO FIND BALANCE IN YOUR LIFE?
It does not mean to be in a place
where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work.
It means to be in the midst of those things and
still be calm in your heart.
We are all searching for peace in our lives. Life can be hard, we will all experience and go through major transitions and changes, relationships can be difficult and challenging, our day to day lives can present us with anxiety and stress. How do we immerse ourselves in the difficulties of day to day life and find peace in the midst of these challenges? Therapy can help. Emotional or physical pain, a crisis, search for meaning and purpose in life, feelings of isolation or loneliness... these are just some of the reasons people turn to therapy for help, relief, answers and meaning. Emotional pain, stress and anxiety can impact mental and physical health. Therapy can help address and deal with unresolved conflicts and pain that may be impacting you in a negative way. While pain and struggles are uncomfortable they provide us with tremendous opportunities for change, growth and healing which are always possible.
Asking for help can be difficult. Many people believe there is something "wrong" with them if they need to go to therapy. I believe it is a sign of courage and strength to know when to ask for help. We all face struggles at some point and sometimes it helps to have support to get through these times.
Therapy is a process, a journey of discovery and learning. As your therapist I will be part of your journey and help you understand and navigate your world better. I offer a supportive and nonjudgmental environment. My goal is to create a safe space where you feel free to express your deepest thoughts, concerns and emotions. Through our relationship my hope is that you acquire a better understanding of yourself , learn to achieve balance in your life, and help you create the life you envision I am not here to tell you what to do or give you the answers, I will walk along beside you and help you find the answers that lie inside of you.
Therapist Client relationship
The therapist client relationship is a unique relationship. I believe the most important part of therapy is the relationship with your therapist. If you don't feel comfortable with who you are sitting with you won't feel free to share intimate information.
WHY THERAPY? WILL IT HELP ME? HOW LONG SHOULD I COME?
Therapy is a different experience for everyone so it's hard to say how many sessions someone will need when they initially start. Some people come to deal with a specific issue, others come in and end up finding out there are other issues they need to deal with, and some decide to continue for long periods of time for personal growth. It's a personal experience and can be anything you want it or need it to be. Unfortunately there's still a lot of stigma surrounding therapy but it can be an incredibly healing and growthful experience for anyone who chooses to venture down this path.
